The Democratic National Convention is on fire! Bill Clinton showed all of his political finesse and swag (you gotta admit it) to move the crowd and drive voters into the booth in November. He really got people out of their seats, but once the Commander-in-Chief hit the stage and Clinton bowed before him…it was a done deal. The President was in the House…again.
But now, it’s time for the President to speak for himself and there has been a major push for Betty White to bring him out. She may not give a big Steve Harvey “show ya love” type intro, but she’ll use her sharp wit to bring down the house. She’s been in the joke game much longer than Clint Eastwood.
Betty is being asked by fans to introduce the president at the DNC, according to Politico.com There’s a petition going around for her on Change.org that is pushing for her participation. Facebookers have put together a page called “Bring Betty White to the DNC” and it has garnered over 35,000 fans at the time of this report.
Politico pointed out that there is more than a slim chance of getting her on the stage of the DNC. She buckled under the pressure to host Saturday Night Live back in 2010, after Facebook put on the pressure. Do you want to see Betty White step up for President Obama? Weigh in.
