New York City’s subway system is famous for the sights that can be seen while riding it. Last January, we even reported on a rat that took a ride on one patron’s lap and even ran up to his face. But a miracle took place on the subway recently that trumps all of the other unusual sightings.
If Beyonce wanted privacy during her delivery, maybe she should’ve taken the NYC subway at 1:30am like Wanda Dueno. She was on her own and going into labor with no one around. Her maternal instincts kicked in as she grabbed for the emergency intercom button, according to the New York Post.
By the time she could get any help, Dueno, had delivered 7-pound, 2-ounce Libasse Dueno. She told the Post:
“I already had him in my hands,” Dueno said while holding her bubbly son.
She’s from New York, but she lives in Philadelphia and was only in town visiting her family. She will never forget this trip and baby Libasse has a great story to tell about being from NYC like his mom. She’s already named him, but is taking suggestions for nicknames. Her sister Porcha Banks said:
“You could call him . . . MetroCard?”
