Georgia Sheriff KKK Costume Pics Unearthed During Election (Video)

Georgia Sheriff Roger Garrison accuses opponent David Waters of leaking pics of him in a KKK uniform.

We all have seen some pretty crazy Halloween costumes.  But, we’ve also seen horrifyingly racist decorations and/or effigies that homeowners have placed on their lawns all in good fun…just for the holiday….yeah right!  But now one law official is under fire for wearing a costume that has a disgusting history.

Georgia Sheriff Roger Garrison, is defending his post in Cherokee County where he’s served as sheriff for 30 years.  He’s in a battle with opponent David Waters for his position. Garrison accuses Waters of leaking pictures from approximately 25 years ago that show him dressed up as a KKK member for Halloween.

Did you do the math and notice that the pictures were taken during the time he’s been a law official?  Anyone with a smidgen of common sense that work in a legal capacity or not, should know that this is a serious no-no!  According to the Huffington Post, Garrison would like to dismiss the pictures as not being relevant because of his age at the time:

“I don’t deny it wasn’t stupid, looking back now,” Garrison said. “But there again I say what 21- or 22-year-old in this world hasn’t made some stupid mistakes?”

(Did he say it “wasn’t stupid”) Yeah, we’ve all done stupid things at that age, but are you really going to compare my “egging” the neighbor’s house to being an officer of the law parading around on Halloween in a KKK uniform?  By the way, where’d you get that supposed costume?

Check out the report.
