Florida is turning out to be one of the craziest places in the U.S. where anything goes. Now they’ve even taken drinking and driving to another level with the newest offense in the news. Two drunk grandparents that thought it would be a good idea to take their granddaughter on a joy ride are behind bars for it. Because if they were sober, maybe they would’ve thought to put the child inside the car for the ride.
Grandparents, Paul Berloni, 49, and Belinda Berloni, 47, are in hot water after police stopped them for not only driving under the influence, but making their granddaughter an accomplice by dragging her along in her Hot Wheels car, according to the Daily Mail. These two dummies tied the child’s car to the bumper of their SUV with dog leashes.
Now imagine! You’re coming down a two-lane street facing these two and they make a left turn in front of you when what to your wondering eyes appears, but a tiny buggy with a tiny girl inside playing race car trailing behind them by at least four feet attached to the bumper of the SUV. Scary, right?
Here’s the scariest details:
Belinda Berloni was in “the rear hatch open cheering the child on as she was being pulled behind the vehicle”. The arrest report said she told the deputy “they knew it was dangerous but it was also fun and they had been doing it all day.” Not only that, Paul Berloni admitted to the officer that stopped them and asked for his driver’s license that he had his license revoked for 10 years for his last DUI.
You simply CANNOT make this stuff up!
