Derrick Rose Gets Spiteful Tweet from LeBron’s Nike Shoe Developer

Derrick Rose, 23, suffers a torn ACL in his left knee Saturday, April 28, 2012, during his club' Game 1 playoff victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday in Chicago.

Derrick Rose suffered one of the worst injuries any basketball player could sustain when he tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) Saturday.  He’s out for the rest of the season and one would expect that his fans and others wished him well.  But, not everyone is sending him well wishes.  His haters are up and tweeting.

According to USA Today, after Rose suffered the season ending injury, Jason Petrie, Nike  shoe designer for LeBron James, took to Twitter saying:

“You got only one guy getting stronger, and one guy breaking down before our very eyes.” Rose “chose poorly” and “#shouldasignedwithNIKE #GWS (Get well soon).”

Whoa!  That’s kinda vicious right?  Well, Sunday Nike hurried to issue a formal statement to apologize for Petrie’s remarks, but Petrie?  Not so much.

“Wow! Twitterverse I do apologize. It was really just tongue n cheek! Never meant any harm or disrespect! “

Read more here. LeBron may have to get himself another designer.
