President Obama ‘Slow Jams’ the News with Jimmy Fallon (Video)

Jimmy Fallon "Slow Jam the News" with President Barack Obama, Tuesday, April 24, 2012.

Our president is the “Potus with the Mostus” as Tariq of The Roots band put it.  He has a great sense of humor, but he keeps it relevant and handles OUR business.  He has made his rounds on some of the late night talk shows, but there was one he missed.  But, he quickly cleared that up last night.

Tuesday night, the president visited Jimmy Fallon’s show and took part in something Fallon likes to do called “Slow Jam the News”.   President Obama was able to make some very important news heard by the very people that need to hear it…students! :

PRESIDENT OBAMA: On July first of this year the interest rate on Stafford student loans, the same loans many of you use to help pay for college, are set to double. That means some hard working students will be paying about a thousand dollars extra just to get their education. So I’ve called on Congress to prevent this from happening. What we’ve said is simple: now is not the time to make school more expensive for our young people.

If you’re not a news person and you don’t follow what’s going on, then the president’s “speech” last night rang loud and clear through this segment.  The government is trying to double the interest rates on the Stafford Loan–the student loan that may be subsidized or unsubsidized by the government.

Check out our President! GObama!  Or as Jimmy Fallon said:

Oh yeah. You should listen to the President – or, as I like to call him, the Preezy of the United Steezy…
