For weeks folks have been waiting patiently to hear the true winner of the largest Mega Millions jackpot in the country. It turns out that the woman claiming to have the winning ticket was either telling a lie or was mistaken when she thought she had the numbers because she now claims she lost the ticket.
Well, she can’t possibly lose a ticket she never had. Three educators came forward with the ticket, but chose to keep their identities a secret as Maryland is one of the states that allows you to remain anonymous, according to the Baltimore Sun.
The three winners have worked together for many years and collected their winnings under the name “The Three Amigos”. The three are composed of a man in his 40s, a woman in her 50s, and another woman in her 20s. They plan to remain anonymous and there’s no immediate talk of leaving their jobs.
The three will split $218,600,000. The payout is a direct deposit of $35 million to each of their bank accounts in the next couple weeks. Read more here on their story. If you know them, let us know. We’d like to have a conversation.
