With all the technology available, the future still looked a lot more advanced in Blade Runner and Terminator than what those movies proposed of the 21st century. Those flicks left the promise of flying cars and lasers replacing guns by now. But, one company is up to the challenge of bringing us into the 21st century…movie style.
Google has created glasses that give a “read-out” of every item or venue that is viewed through them, according to Forbes magazine. The view through the lens is reminiscent of the Terminator himself. The glasses scan its target and gives the consumer a menu, phone number, commercial, everything:
“A built-in screen allows them to function as a so-called heads-up display, overlaying whatever the viewers is looking at with a digital layer. The glasses will be tricked out with a wireless internet connection, an Android operating system, motion sensors, GPS and a camera. They’ll also be rather ugly, apparently.”
Be ready to be trampled for a pair of these. The stores better be stocked and ready when they’re launched. Read more here.
