Those that play the lottery have the money planned out before they get it. Well, the same is true of our paychecks, but the thought of seemingly unlimited funds makes for a much more interesting plan. in our minds, we are taking off on trips around the world, buying homes, cars, and breaking a piece off for the fam of course. But what would the plans look like if you’re 81.
Louise White of Newport, Rhode Island, is the sole recipient of the $336 million Powerball jackpot and she’s 81 years old. But the 21st century has offered the world a sort of youth serum and 81 is the new 50…ok 60. At any rate, ABC referred to White as a “vivacious” 81-year-old.
White is putting the money in the Rainbow Sherbert Trust and will receive a $210 million payout. She chose that name for the Trust because she picked up the ticket and some rainbow sherbet for her family from the local Stop N Shop grocery store:
“Then around [7 p.m.] a family member wanted some rainbow sherbert to eat later, so they decided to go to the Stop N Shop,” White wrote in a statement.
“I had just finished making a sandwich and was asked if I wanted anything at the store and I said emphatically, ‘I can’t believe you asked me if I want you to get me something. NO, I don’t want you to get me something,'” she wrote in the statement, “I want to go with you!”
Well, it’s evident that Ms. White is no spring chicken, but it doesn’t appear that she is in any ways slowing down. Congrats! Check out the report below.
