The republican party, the tea party, and Newt Gingrich must be so proud of their new boy. He is promoting the ultra-conservative message that at one time would send African Americans back to Africa. But in this case, he is only asking that we go back to the “plantation.”
According to the Huffington Post, Rev. Jesse L. Peterson sided with Newt Gingrich to make janitors out of black America. This is the same man who has campaigned against Kwanzaa, referring to it as “The Racist Holiday from Hell.” He is under the impression that blacks in this country have no real idea what work ethic is all about. Yet isn’t it a contradiction to send the black community back to its roots that built this country…the plantation.
Peterson claims to come from the cotton fields and understands what hard work really means:
“One of the things that I would do is take all black people back to the South and put them on the plantation so they would understand the ethic of working,” Peterson told The Huffington Post’s Black Voices on Tuesday afternoon. “I’m going to put them all on the plantation. They need a good hard education on what it is to work.”
During the republican presidential debate, as moderator, Juan Williams asked Newt Gingrich if he thought his recent remarks regarding poor black kids and their lack of work ethic could be considered insulting. Peterson chimed in with his views to side with Gingrich. Essentially, he feels that the black community simply can’t handle the truth saying “but for the last 50 years or so, generations and generations of black people have relied on the government or someone else to take care of them.”
Peterson is the founder of the Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny or BOND. We pray that he doesn’t have a real pulpit because we wouldn’t want to run into any member of that congregation on the street. Read more of his rhetoric here . It makes me wonder if we’ll soon see a video of “Dumb Sh*t Black Republicans Say.”
