
Martin Luther King, Jr., tells a little jokey joke on the Tonight Show while being interviewed by his buddy, Harry Belafonte in 1968.
Very rarely do we see any footage of Martin Luther King’s humorous side. We are always being fed images of his struggle and fight to persevere through the Civil Rights Movement. But, today, we were lucky enough to find rare footage of him crackin’ a little jokey joke of his own.
The Grio reported that the footage comes from an even more rare occasion where actor, singer, and social activist, Harry Belafonte, interviewed his close friend on the Tonight Show in 1968. The good reverend doctor explains his fear of riding on airplanes. Take a look!
