Home Depot to Add 70,000 Jobs


For those of you that are unemployed, there’s good news coming from Home Depot.  They are trying to do their part during this recession to employ as many folks as they can.  There move to help out makes you wanna go out and by a screwdriver or something!

The hardware retailer is hiring 70,000 seasonal employees for its spring season, according to the Huffington Post.  Unlike other retailers, spring is their biggest season.  The opportunity is great when you think of their employee retention rate.  They kept approximately half of the seasonal workers they employed last year.

The company is slowly creeping back up in the ranks wit their revenue, shares, and net income rising.  Read more here on the newest opportunity.

  1. That’s a lot of jobs. I hope the employees will receive substantial hours to make a substantial pay. 70K people- I cannot imagine how that pot is divied up.
