The latest update in the horror story out of the Penn State playbook is occurring this morning with the accused pedophile, Jerry Sandusky, that has been charged with 50 counts of child sex abuse. He was supposed to face his accusers in court, but somehow, some way, he’s had a change of heart.
According to the Huffington Post’s up-to-the minute reports they’re running on the case, a couple days ago, Sandusky’s lawyer Joseph Amendola was quoted saying that Sandusky was “looking forward to the opportunity to face his accusers.” What changed? Because now he’s waived his right to a preliminary hearing where his accusers would’ve had their day in court.
If we had to guess, his guilt is starting to crack the brick wall of lies he’s been putting up around himself for protection. His wife doesn’t get to testify against him (which is an awful legal shame and injustice built into American law), so the only other people that know his ugly truth will not be speaking it in court. Even an animal with an organization tag line that reads “Providing children with help and hope,” couldn’t possibly stand long against the unthinkable allegations he’s facing.
But, wouldn’t you like to see them just slam his ass behind bars until he’s proven guilty? We thought with the first round of allegations when Pennsylvania District Judge Leslie Dutchcot, who also volunteered at The Second Mile, was removed from the case for obstruction of justice by lowering the bail suggested by the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office as well as an obvious conflict of interest, we would see a judge that would see right through him, listen to all the numerous allegations from these kids and hold him without bail. But it hasn’t happened yet. Something about him being able to receive bail each time a new allegation is presented, tells us that we won’t be happy with what may be the final outcome of all of this.

Sumbody ought to hang him at High Noon and be done with it. Joe Paterno knew of this piece of filth and turned a blind eye. Shame on you Joe.
