NYPD has to be quite confused with the latest set of events that shocked the department and the residents of a Queens neighborhood where one of their own was killed. Both the victim and the assailant were cops. A husband and wife that had an argument that went too far.
According to New York Daily News, Clarence Cash, 49,was a former NYPD officer. His wife, Tracey Young, 42, was one of the state’s top 10 top criminal investigators for the force in their tax and finance division. Cash shot her in the face three times and in the torso four times in their Briarwood condo Saturday.
It is still unclear why he shot her, but he was completely remorseful as soon as he committed the crime. A police source said that “she put her hand on him and kind of mushed his face. He punched her in the face, and she said, ‘That’s it. I’m going to my sister’s house. I’m done with you. I’m leaving you.’ And then “He snapped.”
