The biggest sacrifice men and women have made for this country is to go to war to protect it. They are average citizens who, a lot of them, have never seen someone murdered up close and personal, yet they are thrown into war where they are possibly killing civilians or watch them be killed. They are martyrs, murderers, and sacrificial lambs. They put it all on the line for the entire country, so we can enjoy our families and have a peaceful life while our government has dishonored them by throwing their remains into a landfill…eternally disrespected.
According to MSNBC, the Washington Post exposed an act by the U.S. government that is not only deplorable, but reopens the wounds suffered by military families that have lost their loved ones to war. There is a very real possibility that any number of soldiers remains could have ended up in a King George County, Va., landfill. The Post discovered the cover-up and found out that they halted the “widespread” practice in 2008.
U.S. Rep. Rush Holt (Dem.-N.J.), had pressed the Pentagon for information on the “dumping” on” behalf of one of his constituents.” He received a disturbing response via a letter that read:
“It would require a massive effort and time to recall records and research individually,” Jo Ann Rooney, the Pentagon’s acting undersecretary for personnel, said in a Nov. 22 letter…”
Rush shot back with the same response we had saying, “What the hell?” Between 2004 and 2008, nearly 3,000 remains of nearly 300 servicemen have been unceremoniously dumped into a hole. Check out the report below.
