There is a lot of us that don’t believe we have what it takes to be our best selves. We’re too tired, too fat, too depressed, too old to get into shape at our age. But there is a woman out there that will send all of our excuses out of the window. Her name is Ernestine “Ernie” Shepard.
My Generation hosted by Diane Roberts, profiled Ernie to show that it’s never too late to get your body and mind into shape. The 75-year old bodybuilder was recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2010, for being the oldest bodybuilder in history. And she’s not only motivating to watch, she’s spreading the love as a trainer.
Shepard is a trainer at Energy Fitness in Randallstown, Maryland. Young and old, fat and small are getting it done because of her. She lost her sister, who started her crusade with her in their mid 50s. So she keeps her in her head and heart through each workout and competition. She runs miles per day and eats a high protein diet to look as strong as she does.
Check her out! But be warned, you may feel bad afterwards.
