William Shatner fries the turkeys for State Farm.
As we prepare to strap on the old food bag for Thanksgiving day, we have a full menu in our minds of what we want to eat. Now some of us are meant to remain on the eating side of the holiday rather than cooking. But for both the novice and those who believe they’re some sort of savant chef, everyone thinking of frying a turkey can use this funny, but serious tutorial.
Some of us, after having a fried turkey, cannot see themselves eating anything else. Well, for those who can’t do without it and are striking out on their own to fry their turkey, William Shatner, on behalf of State Farm, gives a humorous step-by-step safety plan to help you out.
Shatner tells a cautionary tale of how he threw caution to the wind (along with the instructions) and went ahead and fried his turkey using what he thought was good common sense. So please! Don’t throw those instructions away and check out this video before you prepare to start frying turkey tomorrow.
