What would you do if our beloved drivers for our public transportation threw in the towel and decided they were ALLLLLL going to go on strike? Jobs could be lost and other important events and appointments missed. Detroit is in the heat of this issue this morning and there’s no talk of when they will return.
According to local ABC affiliate, WXYZ, the city is frozen, not because of the cool temperatures settling in for winter, but because a driver was assaulted Thursday causing other drivers to fear for their lives. They are seeking some kind of recourse for the driver as well as themselves.
The union reps say that the driver at the Rosa Parks center area was assaulted by six to seven assailants for 15 to 20 minutes and no one came to help him. They will not be moving busses until the city can come to some sort of agreement of protection for them.
