A lot of you may be familiar with the urban entertainment news site, MediaTakeOut.com. The site is known for jaw dropping brand of localized news and videos and is preparing to branch out into television…well reality TV for online viewers in the form of a dating show.
According to the Grio, MediaTakeOut will have three brave couples go on their first date on the appropriately named First Date. The site’s founder and editor, Fred Mwangaguhunga went into partnership with Fisher Klingenstein Films to produce the show.
His goal is to produce shows 7 days a week. He’d like the Internet to become a way to circumvent the big movie studios to give black filmmakers a chance to have more of their projects receive a green light for their ideas and he will run their productions along the top of his site.
Mwangaguhunga, a Columbia business and law school graduate who was also a former corporate attorney, started MediaTakeOut.com in 2006. Read the full story here or watch below.
