The who’s who of activism showed for the Martin Luther King, Jr. unveiling of his memorial on the mall and some of them were there doing double duty. The Wall Street protests have been going on all over the planet with several people going to the Supreme Court to have their say.
According to the Huffington Post, one of those people was Cornel West. The Princeton professor, author, actor, and activisit was arrested along with several others that refused to leave the Supreme Court premises. And for the first time in a long time, he wasn’t there to speak bad on the President.
West made a segue from the MLK memorial to run over to the Supreme Court to support the activists there. He was there speaking on the corruption of corporate ties to government. The story is here in full.
