Gamers all over the globe are on alert because hackers are up to their antics again! Hackers have targeted Sony and they have them on the run to protect your personal account information. This may mean trouble as their reputation takes a beating over their vulnerability to this sort of security breach.
According to the Huffington Post, this isn’t the first massive attempt from hackers to get into the personal accounts of Sony PlayStation Network account holders. Sony has already tried to comfort 93,000 account holders by shutting down their accounts and giving password resets. The company is saying that none of the accounts credit card information was procured in the attempt.
It appears that the hackers were trying to use other’s identities to access accounts all over the globe between Oct. 7 and Oct. 10. Sony isn’t clear on who or where the threats came from, but they are certain that the threat wasn’t as massive as the attempt in April that affected over 100 million and shut the system down for a month.
