Japan Offers Free Flights to Increase Tourism

If you haven’t traveled to exotic locations throughout the world because of financial issues, well, here’s your big chance.  The folks over in Asia are trying to help you out. Since the problems with tsunami’s and earthquakes and now the nuclear meltdown in March has cost the area plenty of fans.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Japan’s government is willing to foot the tab of anyone willing to fly into the country.  They want their tourism business to return.  Japan lost 50 percent of their tourist dollars after all of the massive damage there.

The Japanese government only asks that whoever they fly in for free, pay for their own room and board and write a review of their stay there.  There must be an application sent off, but that is not as difficult as paying for a fare to Japan.
