Some of the students in America are trying to get in on the American dream by any means necessary. They are paying big money to get it too. Which would lead most to believe that they are halfway there already. The New York school system is reeling from an academic scandal that may change the way the SAT test is taken in the country…but not in New York.
According to the Associated Press, six students at Great Neck North High School paid college student from Emory, Sam Eshaghoff, to take their SAT tests for them. Some of the students are already in college after Eshaghoff worked his magic. They paid up to $2500 for his service. The highest score on the test is 2400 and the perpetrator scored between a 2140 and 2220 on the tests that were taken. He doesn’t seem that bright for someone that can score that high on the SAT. Your prices were kinda low for all the risk you took, Eshaghoff.
One of the students that he took the SAT for was a girl. How he got past SAT security on that one is anyone’s guess. But, New York officials still feel that the case is so rare that they won’t be changing their security measures for the test. Interesting, right? The high school has former students like Francis Ford Coppola (director of The Godfather), and is rated one of the top academic high school’s in the country. But, it looks like the students are only smart enough to pay someone else to be smart for them.
