Family Devastated Over Wrong Winning Lottery Numbers (Video)

Elida Betancourt holds a winning Mega Millions ticket, but for the wrong day.

There’s a very sad family out there right now.  As a matter of fact, any family would be devastasted if this had happened to them.  Imagine having a matching mega Millions ticket in your pocket and then getting to the store to only realize that it was flawed.

According to CNN, Elida Betancourt was the victim of a mistake in her local paper, the Fresno Bee. They printed the wrong numbers for the Mega Millions.  Betancourt and her son Raymond were equally surprised to find out that the $53 million was not there’s, but in fact, belonged to no one. The Bee had printed the numbers from Sunday on Wednesday.

Thank you for not being a black family that went down to the Bee and beat the editor senseless.  Check out their story here.

  1. “Thank you for not being a black family that went down to the Bee and beat the editor senseless” what does that mean?

  2. “Thank you for not being a Black family that went down to the Bee and beat the editor senseless.” Whoever the author J C Brooks is, I think he/she is trying to stir up some controversy and get his/her 15 minutes of fame. Are rational/non-racist folks to assume that all Black folks are monolithic robots who are just itching to turn on their powerpacks when confronted with a problem? Are we mind-less aliens who just act out of pure animalistic instincts. Are we somehow sub-human and anti-intellectual? Is this comment a veiled expression of racist outrage from a Tea Party functionary? I’m justa wonderin’ J C Brooks, ’cause I bee too stupid to think for meself.

which made you just as bigoted as J.C. Brooks

  4. Note from J.C. Brooks: If anyone took my comments as “bigoted” or “racist” I apologize for the miscommunication in the “Thank you for this not being a black family…” remark. This being a black website, I didn’t think that this joke would be misconstrued as it has been. So, I’m officially changing my joke to: “Thank you for this not being any of my cousins who may have went and beat the editor at the Bee senseless!” Thanks for reading. I hope you continue to do so.
