Most cities in America are feeling the economic depression. Harrisburg, Pa., the capital of Pennsylvania, is struggling to make it just like everyone else. But the city’s mayor is taking another route to find clarity and help with her budgetary issues.
Harrisburg Mayor, Linda Thompson, will be fasting for three days, starting today. She is a spiritual woman and she is calling God into her situation, said she is “calling for unity amongst governmental leaders…a natural and sound financial recovery plan… to get the city back to solvency.”
Residents of the city are invited to join in on the fast as well, but many aren’t seeing the connection between rescuing the city and building revenue. Check out the mayor and residents here.
