Obama Impersonator Taken Off Stage at RLC After Jokes Turn on Republicans

Obama impersonator, Reggie Brown, at the Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans on Saturday.

The Republicans thought they had their type of guy in the Obama impersonator they hired for the recent Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans.  But, it turned out he not only looked like Obama, but could turn the joke on Republicans that attack him too.  He took the time to make some jokes that were interpreted by some as “racist” toward Obama.  But when he turned the tables, to include Republicans, they there wasn’t any tolerance for that.  He was politely escorted from the stage and his mic cut off.

Comedian and President Obama impersonator Reggie Brown, told MSNBC about the supposedly racist jokes, “I would never do anything for one, to disrespect the President or make him feel uncomfortable…He’s got a great sense of humor and I don’t think I crossed any sort of lines.  For it to be called a racist joke is beyond me.”

It appears that the Republicans were fine with the joke being on Obama, but as soon as the fake Obama dug into the Presidential hopefuls saying things like “Newt Gingrich’s consultants are dropping faster than Weiner’s pants in an AOL chat room,” the room started to heat up and some even booed him.  He got a few more digs into Tim Pawlenty and Mitt Romney.  But when he got to Michelle Bachmann, the set was shut down.  Check it out for yourself.
