Michael Baisden has an entire segment on “Pimps in the Pulpit” on his radio show. And this video you’re getting ready to see, as well as the controversial sexual abuse case that Eddie Long has been embroiled in for months, would lead you to believe that he too is indeed a pimp in the pulpit. The case, recently settled with the young men that insisted Long had sex with them and “groomed” them into sexual situations that led them to later feel humiliated and bamboozled by the minister, was settled for $25 million.
The young men accepted gifts, trips, money, etc., and none of it sustained them. They somehow, found the courage to come forward about the abuse and seek some kind of justice for their misery. The substantial payment that Long is responsible for paying the men, must have parishioners that support the minister, concerned about the financial strain it could mean for Long and their church home.
One woman walked up during Sunday’s service, and mid-sermon, handed Long a stack of cash that looked like she had either just disbanded from her gang on the way from their bank heist to get to church on time or she snagged the deposit from the convenience store where she works. The unsettling part of the minister’s actions (and many other ministers) is that he did not even hesitate to take the money from her. He hugged her, thanked her, and she immediately made her way back to her seat.
Check it out for yourself. Does he have any shame?
