Vuitton Chooses 16-Year Old Zimbabwean Girl for Campaign

Nyasha Matonhodze, 16, new face for Louis Vuitton's Fall campaign.

The fashion world is being taken by storm by a new face out of Britain by way of Zimbabwe.  The fresh new face may be taking over or at least landing side by side with the likes of Naomi Campbell.  Campbell seems like she should be heading toward retirement, but she still looks as good as ever!

Louis Vuitton has chosen sixteen-year-old model Nyasha Matonhodze as the headliner for their maison’s fall/winter advertising campaign.  She was discovered in 2010 and has already graced magazines like Teen Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and has been in numerous runway shows.

She is honored by being chosen and she told British magazine, The Telegraph, “Lord you are lucky!’ It didn’t actually hit me until I was sat in a Rolls Royce sitting eye-to-eye with [famed fashion photographer Stephen] Meisel.”

She told another magazine, The Cut, some very intelligent things about being in the modeling business and believeing in yourself.  She’s obviously wiser than her years, “What we have to understand is that there’s not something wrong with us per se, we just aren’t a right fit with the client.”
