There are probably many welfare recipients out there that play the lottery and hope that they hit so they can drop the aid they’re receiving. But, one man doesn’t hope for that at all. He is happy for the opportunity to receive his jackpot as well as retain his Bridge card where he receives his food stamps. He hit for $2 million and asked for it in a one-time lump sum payment!
Leroy Fick, of Auburn, Mi., feels that if someone has a problem with him collecting on both, then they need to take it up with their local congressman because they told him it would be fine. This is the same type of greedy mentality that has ran this country in the ground. Whatever happened to doing the right thing? You know this ain’t right Mr. FICK!
He bought himself a new Audi and retained a lawyer to help him keep his fortune. His lawyer stated that he immediately reported his winnings to the government. Social Services told him that he could keep his food stamps because he took his new found fortune as a one-time payment and it is not considered income!
The woman in Ohio that got locked up for sending her kids to a better school in a zone she didn’t live in was told she was costing the area a fortune. Yet, you can put a million dollars in your account and collect tax dollars in the form of food stamps and it not be an issue at all! C’MON SON!
