The Donald has left himself open to a slew of retaliation after relentlessly going after the President over his citizenship and academic prowess. The elders used to always say, “The finger you point at someone else leaves three pointing back at you.” Now that these questions have been asked of the President, it’s time for Trump to do some ‘splainin’ his damn self! Trump is often in the news talking about his billions, being at the top of his graduating class from Wharton and other lies journalists have caught him in.
Salon.com is on it again taking Donald Trump to task on one of the exact same things he asked of Obama…”Where’s his academic records?” to substantiate the claims that he’s offered as fact over the years. Salon gave examples of New York Times articles in 1973 and 1976 stating that Trump indeed “graduated first in his class”. But, New York magazine has a different take on Trump’s academic record. And they reported on his background without consulting with one of his “people” before writing their 1984 report by William Geist:
“the commencement program from 1968 does not list him as graduating with honors of any kind,” even though “just about every profile ever written about Mr. Trump states that he graduated first in his class at Wharton in 1968.”
He’s not alone, author Jerome Tuccille wrote in Trump’s 1985 biography:
“it has been reported that he graduated first in the class … Donald denied that he ever made such a claim. Actually he was not among the honor students that year.”
Salon.com has even more details into the falsified legacy that Trump has been spouting for years. He has not responded to them yet. Check out the full report here. Get ’em Salon!
