President Obama Attacked with Racist E-mail…Again!

The racist e-mail sent out by Teabagger and Republican Marilyn Davenport. The caption to the picture said, "Now you know why there's no birth certificate!"

Here we go with the monkey joke again.  In case you conservative, racist, republicans want to know, it’s not funny.  It’s tired and juvenile at best.  But, don’t take our calm disposition as a pass because it is not.  And judging from the chair of the republican party’s complete intolerance to this racist e-mail from one of his colleagues, this won’t be over until they find a way to disassociate themselves from her.

Orange County’s The Weekly, somehow obtained a copy of an e-mail sent by Southern California Tea Party activist and member of the central committee of the Orange County Republican Party, Marilyn Davenport.  The OC Republican Party Chairman Scott Baugh swiftly denounced her actions, buthis response did not hold any weight.  According to Baugh, his group’s bylaws state  that they cannot hold a vote to remove Davenport as an elected member just because she e-mailed the racist image to teabaggers and Republicans.

Davenport made an attempt to apologize to those Orange County Republican elected officals who may have been offended by the e-mail.  Notice her apologies are for her colleagues because she feels no need to apologize to President Obama or African Americans at all.  She feels like this issue has been blown out of proportion…as they always do.  Here’s what she said about her e-mail that has the caption “Now you know why there’s no birth certificate” printed under the picture depicting the President and his parents as monkeys:

“Oh, come on! Everybody who knows me knows that I am not a racist. It was a joke. I have friends who are black.”

“You’re not going to make a big deal about this are you?” she [told The Weekly]. “It’s just an Internet joke.”

“In no way did I even consider the fact he’s half black when I sent out the email. . . . I received plenty of emails about George Bush that I didn’t particularly like yet there was no ‘cry’ in the media about them.”

Come on lady! Could you be more of a cliche’? She’s supposed to be old, maybe this is a generational issue and that’s why she sees nothing wrong with her actions.  Maybe in her time, this was fine.  And because she now knows that she cannot be voted out, she has vehemently notified Baugh and everyone else that she will NOT be stepping down.

  1. I dont know why people get so upset when a joke of Obama is made…but when Bush was portrayed as Hitler, and a movie was made depicting his was said to be free speach. What a joke. Hell, I like the pic.

  2. Will:

The problem with this is that it directly comments on Obama’s race. The Bush jokes/e-mails aren’t racial in nature. Say what you will but in this country, when you go after someone’s race instead of their policy, its just bad all around. I’m sure you’re smart enough to know that

  3. Racial or not the picture looks authentic
Obama should be proud of this picture. True Americans think allot worse about him
