We couldn’t be more surprised about the views of Mississippi natives, a lot of them conservative, that responded to a poll regarding the likeliness of which republican they would vote for in the next Presidential election. Why the poll included a question about whether or not the candidate they chose was for interracial marriage, really didn’t make sense.
According to the New York Daily News, Public Policy Polling of Raleigh, N.C., conducted the survey that found 46% of GOP voters in Mississippi believe interracial marriage should be illegal. Nearly 80 percent of the respondents considered themselves somewhat or very conservative. But, these ideas come from those individuals that were around for the Jim Crow South that they enjoyed and their ideas still lie in that time. Nearly 70 percent of respondents were over the age of 46.

After we wrote the story on whites becoming minorities in this country yesterday, white conservatives should be jumping at the chance to be brought into the fold.
