Bill Cosby was on the Today show to talk about the powerful initiative he’s spearheaded in Connecticut’s low income neighborhoods in an effort to repair the disparity in education programs between suburban and inner city communities. But now the media has overshadowed that part of his interview to focus on something he said about Donald Trump at the very end.
The controversial remarks that Bill Cosby has made in the past about low income communities falling behind and not stepping up to the educational plate has been revamped with his crusade hitting the streets and practicing what he preaches. All of the fundamental things he’s working on in New Haven, Conn., is covered in the interview. But, when they were preparing to wrap up the interview, Meredith Viera seemed to be asked by a producer to ask Bill what he thinks about Donald Trump and his birther rhetoric and quest for the White House.
Cosby came back with “Oh please, with Donald Trump! Take him home with you!” When Viera asked why he said that, he is happy to continue, “Because he’s full of it. When you or someone asked ‘Are you going to run? Are you going to run?’ He jumped! You run or shutup!” Viera then plays the devil’s advocate saying that Donald Trump has said that he can’t announce yet whether he can run or not. Bill quips, “Please! Anybody can announce! I’ve seen, what was the Smother’s Brothers had a guy on the tv show and he said he was going to run. You can run! Start running now. But the only thing he’s running is his mouth!” He has more choice words after this even.
