African Pride products are a staple in a lot of African American homes. The brand’s use of natural herbs, olive oil, jojoba, jasmine and coconut oil in their products that promote strong, luxurious locs is a major draw. Last week, the relaunch of Strength of Nature Global, LLC, was embraced by celebrities (photos) in Atlanta that also appreciate their African Pride line of hair care.
Lance Gross (House of Payne) and Tocarra (America’s Top Model) came out to host the relaunch along with Keisha Knight Pulliam (Cosby Show) and . They all had their own thoughts on the hair care line and Gross spoke out on his appreciation for the products. He told Black Voices, “I believe in black women taking care of their hair, and they can take care of it with African Pride [laughs]. I like all kinds of hair, whether it’s natural or weave, as long as it’s tight.
So So Def recording artist, Dondria, performed for the new campaign, ‘My Pride. My Way.” The event offered a night of fun and appreciation. Other celebs that attended were A.J. Johnson (Baby Boy) fitness coach and actress and Duane Mclaughlin from Days of Our Lives.
Pulliam told BV, “As black women, we are so diverse and have all different types of hair, whether it is curly or kinky, short or long, it’s yours — and a reflection of your style. I think it’s fine to do it all.” Read more here.
