There are over 20 huge cement cylinders in a Michigan neighborhood outside Detroit in Macomb County. The blocks must be at least four feet in diameter and children have taken to playing on top of them. But, unfortunately, in the winter they are covered with ice and become a dangerous place for even circus performers.
According to local ABC affiliate WXYZ, 10-year old Maddy Quick was playing with her friend and walking across the cement cylinders in a nearby field when she fell between them and was wedged into an extremely small space between the pipes. As if being stuck wasn’t enough, her shirt and jacket slid up her body when she fell through and her skin was exposed to the pipes for the entire three hours it took to dislodge her from them.
The cylinders had been left there by a contractor who couldn’t use them and the community has been complaining that they need to remove them–maybe from fear that something like this could happen. Check it out:
