Baltimore police have been tirelessly hunting for a young African American woman who came up missing three days after Christmas day. She left her half sister’s home to run errands and was never seen again. And now, after three weeks of searching, local authorities are getting frustrated with the lack of nationwide media attention this case is getting.
Phylicia Barnes is a straight A student that just vanished into thin air and the chances of finding her dwindles as time elapses on the local search efforts. According to MSNBC, Baltimore Police department spokesman, Anthony Guglielmi, proposed that the case may have received more attention had she been white. “This is Baltimore’s Natalee Holloway case,” said Guglielmi.
Barnes had come from North Carolina to spend Christmas with her sister and her mother last spoke with her on Christmas day. Despite a massive campaign to find her, there has been no new leads on her location. Check out the story here:
