When you see Tom Hanks the last thing that might jump into your head is rap or hip-hop. He’s almost, without saying a word, the anti-Hip Hop and we don’t know if he’s a fan or not. But something about him doesn’t suggest he’s buying 50 Cent anytime soon. After seeing Ron Howard in Jamie Foxx’s video for Blame It, one might associate him with Hip-Hop before Tom Hanks…and he was Opie for Pete’s sake.
But, someone was listening to Hip-Hop at home because Tom Hanks’ son, Chester “Chet” Hanks (Chet Haze on the mic though), is considering throwing his hat in the Hip-Hop ring to see what he can do. He attends Northwestern and has already put out his first single. He doesn’t have his video budget put together yet, but the single is online and you can hear it while looking him in the face. His production team hooked him up with some pretty good beats and his sound is a little catchy, but I think he better use his degree to go into marketing and write another commercial.
In his single, he’s representin’ for the White and Purple of Northwestern with a remix of Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow” Hit it!
