Clerk Makes Lottery Error Nets Customer $1 Million

Pamela Ivey of Georgetown, Ky., holding her winnings of $1 million from a simple store error.

This has got to be the happiest day anyone in lottery history has had.  Winning the lottery is enough, but to win by mistake is amazing. The woman didn’t even hit the lottery, she had one of those tickets that was a runner-up.  She had enough numbers to make her eligible for the $250,000 prize.  But that wasn’t her lottery destiny.  Her destiny was for the clerk to mess up and add a “multiplier” to her ticket.

Pamela Ivey of Georgetown, Ky.,  had purchased a ticket from the clerk at the store for double she wanted to pay, but took the ticket anyway. The ticket was supposed to be $5, but the clerk added the multiplier option to her ticket by mistake which made it $10 and it gave her a payout of not $250,o00, but $690,000.  I bet she’s not mad at the clerk anymore for making her pay double for her ticket.
