No man wants to walk up to the bar and order an Apple Martini or a Fuzzy Navel, but why not? Men drink all flavors of kool-aid, but once liquor is involved the urge for color and flavor is supposed to leave. Yeah right! The time for shame over your fruity drinks at the bar are over. Everybody is drinking all types of liquors. They’ve even broken it down ethnically.
The Atlanta Post reports that Raphael Yakoby was the creator of Hpnotiq. He sold the business for $60 million in 2003 and now he’s on to Nuvo, the pink sparkling French vodka with a little wine and nectar mixed in. Yakoby is certain that this business will be successful due to the newest reports.
In the New York Times, “African-Americans of both sexes who drink liquor are more likely on average to like alcohol mixed with juice, with 54 percent stating such a preference compared with 47 percent of imbibers over all…” The fruity beverages like Alize and Hpnotiq went over big with everyone, there’s nothing saying that Nuvo won’t take over the market as well.
