Basketball players and other athletes, professional or not, have it rougher off the courts and fields than on it. They must feel like the safest place for them is when they’re actually playing the game. The latest catastrophe has been committed against a college basketball player. According to the New York Times, a player was shot during an attempted robbery.
Seton Hall’s senior guard, Jeremy Hazell, had already been out with an injury to his wrist, now this! The young man was simply minding his own business in the mean streets of NYC, when he was approached and attacked. He was shot underneath his right arm and was treated and released. But, these injuries are adding up and the boy hasn’t even made it to the pros yet.
