Teens Use Oral Sex to Start Having Sex

Doctors studying the sexual habits of teenagers thought they would see oral sex thwart or slow the sexual appetite, so to speak, of young people.  But, that couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, the latest studies show teens are even more intrigued about sex and usually partake six months later.

More than 600 high school students in California took part in the study published in Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. They used a survey every two years to collect their results.  The students were surveyed from their freshmen year in 2002 until junior year, 2005.  It’s not clear which comes first, but most of them are trying oral sex before trying sexual intercourse.
