Al Reynolds is the tea party candidate for the Illinois’ senate seat…oops! WAS the candidate. He came to sit and discuss the issues during a forum co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters and the Champaign County NAACP last week and out of nowhere says, “Black men just wanna sell drugs!” (loosely translated)
An unidentified young black woman served as moderator and posed the question of how they as senators would address the lack of diversity in the Illinois school system. Initially, it seemed he would say something smart, but the tea party in him would prevent him from following through with that. He started talking about how he’s been to the city (certainly not often) but he started talking about hispanic and black women will take any job. But oh no! Not those trifling minority men.
“Most of the women who are single parents have to find work to support their family. The minority men find it more lucrative to be able to do drugs or other avenues rather than do education. It’s easier.” And he doesn’t stop there, but of course this was enough to end his campaign for state senator in Illinois’ 52nd District. He went on to say with a chuckle:
“We need to provide ways that are more incentive…before the women have to support them all.” Check him out here:
