Kohl’s Removes Its ‘Ghetto Fab’ Wig from Halloween Line-up

Somebody slap the Kohl’s executives that thought they could get away with a “Ghetto Fab” wig just because it’s a Halloween item.  The name is wrong and the look is wronger.  The wig has no business being called Ghetto Fabulous.  They obviously have no clue what that phrase means. Minneapolis City Pages blog reported that a major uproar started on Facebook when the wig was seen on the site as a Kohl’s Halloween costume.

The great people of Facebook said things like: “A ‘Ghetto Fab’ wig for Halloween? Seriously, Kohl’s?! I find the term ‘ghetto fabulous’ TASTELESS!”  And while they found it “tasteless” the NAACP and other civil rights entities might’ve come after Kohl’s had they not removed it.  But they still have a chance to get with Amazon.com because they have yet to remove the wig from its site.  Kohl’s has dropped the wig from its online offering.
