Video: ‘I Love My Hair’ by Sesame Street

Sesame Street is giving a shout out to black hair and all the cool things that it can do.  It offers little black girls everywhere pride about the very thing it appears African American women have both forgotten, yet celebrate.  Chris Rock’s “Good Hair” hit the movie theaters last year to give a comedic, but eye opening account of the black hair industry and how much money we drop into pockets all over the world to tame the hair into a more “relaxed” look.

We want to give a big shout back to Sesame Street and their effort to give little black girls another thing to be proud of within themselves.  We’re so happy with their song “I Love My Hair” that we are also posting a “remix” of the song.  Obviously, the song has garnered so much popularity that they’ve combined it with Willow Smith’s “I Whip My Hair” to add even more flavor to the beautiful song.  Enjoy both.
