New York City’s exclusive district near fifth avenue is the venue for Nike’s flagship store, Niketown. But, the exclusivity of the area has just been lifted by bed bugs and they have taken over. They are not easy to get rid of nor inexpensive to detect. The techniques that some have tried is bed bug sniffing dogs that have average $10,000 for their service.
This year’s summer began with the bed bug invasion in NYC and they have yet to give up. With the revelation of bed bugs being behind the Niketown shutdown, the district will take a hit in sales to a lot of its stores and hotels. But, if you have already been down to the store or other stores near Niketown, if you can, throw your items in the dryer. Heat is the only thing that kills the pests.
