Once upon a time, Allen Iverson was a hot shot rookie fresh out of Georgetown hitting the wood for the Philadelphia 76ers. He reigned supreme as a guard for the team for an entire decade garnering such distinctions as: MVP, All-Star, Rookie of the Year, All-Star MVP, some of these a couple times or more. But it seems that when he had the little tiff with THE MAN of the NBA, David Stern, over his rap career, things began to get … different.
With no title to his name, he started shuffling around the NBA after leaving Philly. He ended up running with the Grizzlies, the Pistons, and the Nuggets before returning to his turf for the 2009-2010 season. But with rumors of family problems, divorce, and excessive drinking and the disappointment of a promising 14-year career that didn’t produce a title, he’s starting to consider going overseas. The rumors are running that he may be heading to China.
His personal manager confirmed that China has shown “legitimate interest” in him and there has not been in any offers from any NBA teams so close to training camp time.
