‘Dr.’ Laura Ain’t Sorry

Nita Hanson

*The woman who was criticized for being too “sensitive” by “Dr.” Laura spoke out on CNN saying she the fake doctor wasn’t really sorry for what she did. Instead, she was only doing it for political correctness sake. Perhaps her publicist gave her the advice.

Nita Hanson told CNN’s T.J. Holmes about the experience. (Scroll down to watch)

“After speaking with Dr. Laura, I was so confused, I was hurt,” she said. “I didn’t want to turn this into a racial thing. I just wanted some advice on my relationship.”

Dr. Laura gave a statement to CNN, apologizing to Hanson, but Hanson wasn’t ready to accept any apology (also, she noted Dr. Laura hadn’t reached out to her specifically). “I called for help and there’s nothing she can say to me at this point,” said Hanson, later saying she thinks “she apologized because she got caught.”

I agree with the caller, even though she was dumb for calling a white woman for any advice about her racist white husband and neighbors. Laura wasn’t sorry. She said what she said because that is exactly how she feels.

If Laura was sorry, it would have never come out of her mouth. However! Yes, however, Laura did have a point and brought up the fact that several members of the Black community do use the word, not that it gives any person clearance to use it.

The bottom line is, the N-word is oppressive and continues to remind us of white supremacy. Let me not get too deep on you, but this is the dilemma – Black folks, stop using the word, white folks and all others… we already know you use it and what you think about us, just don’t say it when we hear you.

  1. Sorry, but I get Laura’s point. Until WE stop using the word, we can’t tell others NOT to use the word. IT starts with PARENTS… Chris Rocks rant about the word says it all. We want it stopped then we shouldn’t use it.. Being “OUTRAGED” when YT uses it is hypocracy!

  2. What exactly did Dr Laura’s rant had to do with the woman’s problem? That’s where I have the problem!
