Can you imagine you’re a cop going to save someone and end up saving your partner…in the car? Well, NYPD officer James Atkins is a true hero. He was out on a call with his superior, Sgt. Grevirlene Kersellius, and she told him she had a splitting headache. He thought she should give it some attention, but she wanted to respond to the call they received where a man had a gun in the area of Harlem where they are assigned. So they raced to the scene, but it’s not clear if she could even get out of the car. But it was clear that she was in “distress.”
So once he realized she was still paralyzed by a crushing headache, he insisted he take her to the hospital. She told him not to go to the hospital, but he insisted, she said no, he said yes, she said NO!!! And before you know it, they were in the hospital room! Kersellius learned that she indeed owed him her life. He has saved her from succumbing to a brain aneurysm. A CAT scan revealed that she had bleeding on the brain.
Cheers to Officer James Atkins! Read more of the details here.
