Former NBA Player Gets Discrimination Suit for ATL Tavern

Joe Barry Carroll, formerly of the Golden State Warriors

The Tavern at Phipps in Atlanta is being accused of discrimination by former NBA player Joe Barry Carroll and his friend, attorney Joseph Shaw.  They have gone before a judge to find out if they have a valid discrimination case against the restaurant.  The judge believes that they do.  Now they are full steam ahead on an incident that showed them the other side of the restaurant.

The men were asked to leave their seats at the bar to accommodate two white women who had just come in.  The men were going to be moved and given free drinks, but they were not ready to leave.  The Tavern went as far as to call their security team to have the men physically removed.

Sounds like discrimination to us.  Check it out here!
