2nd Grader Fears Deportation Shares Mom’s Words with First Lady

Michelle Obama is one cool cucumber to have come up against this young child and her allegations against her husband, President Obama.  According to CBS, Mrs. Obama was visiting a school when a second grader told Mrs. Obama that “her mother said President Barack Obama was ‘taking everybody away that doesn’t have papers.’ ”  But, like her husband, the First Lady took it in stride and immediately answered her saying, “Yeah, well, that’s something that we have to work on, right? To make sure that people can be here with the right kind of papers, right? That’s exactly right.”

But the little girl was relentless with her mother’s information saying,  “But my mom doesn’t have papers.”  And again Mrs. Obama came back quickly to assure the little girl that her mother was right, but the President and their family and many other families are working together to get it right.  The little girl’s mother is probably not very happy with her right now because not only did she say all of that to Mrs. Obama, she was being filmed at the time and her mother had signed consent forms for her to participate.  Surely her mother is having a Homer Simpson moment right now, “Dope!”
